iDrum Magazine feature I'm very pleased to announce that the latest issue of iDrum Magazine includes an interview and feature on me and my playing. There's also the latest installment of my video tuition series on approaches to contemporary cajón. iDrum is a fantastic, free publication that keeps you up to date with all things drums and percussion and I'm really honoured to have been profiled. Thanks iDrum!
Happy New Year! Well 2011 was a blast and here's looking forward to a fantastic 2012! As a new year dawns I'm excited to be spending some time in the studio with Katriona Gilmore and Jamie Roberts, working on their next release.
It's also a very prolific time for acts I'm associated with releasing albums. First up we've the release of "Chasing The Light" from The Old Dance School, with some gigs too, in February. Then March brings a major UK tour, as well as visits to visits to Estonia and Holland, in support of a brand new studio album, "Off Beaten Tracks" from The Urban Folk Quartet.
There will also be releases from The TG Collective, featuring a spattering of my percussion and Jack McNeill and Charlie Heys' much anticipated follow up to "The Northern Road", entitled "Two Fine Days".
Keep you eyes peeled, too, for the next issue of iDrum, which alongside the next installment of my video tuition column on approaches to contemporary cajón and setup, will include a feature on what I'm up to and interview conducted by the side of a river in Sussex. Indeed.
Happy New Year!
